On July 17th, 2019, DJI will be releasing what appears to be their next product, a Ronin gimbal.
With the title being “lighter” and “smarter”, it appears that this gimbal will be aimed at smaller cameras such as mirrorless, compact digital cameras and maybe the odd light DSLR. Perhaps this time, the Ronin-S won’t struggle with the lighter Sony cameras.
From the rumour mill, it is claimed that this Ronin will be a foldable product and fits in a snug suitcase for easy portability and use. Many are dubbing this device as the Ronin-S mini with a lower price tag.
It appears that this is in response to ZhiYun, who have an expanding gimbal line-up from smart phones to heavy DSLR and cinema cameras.
With the success of the Ronin-S, this new Ronin aims to as successful if not more successful as they aim to tap into the vlogging and mirrorless market.
