DJI OM6: What’s New?
If you thought the DJI Osmo Mobile series had reached its peak with 2021’s DJI OM5 (Osmo Mobile 5), think again… the all-new DJI Osmo Mobile 6 takes things to the next level with new controls, creative features and so much more. Let’s break it all down.
New Design, New Creativity
Sporting a next-generation redesign, the new DJI Osmo Mobile 6 brings back all your favourite features from previous generation Osmo Mobile gimbals and adds a fresh and exciting twist to empower your creativity.
The Osmo Mobile 6 also sports a new Slate Grey colourway. Not only does this new colourway look great, the dark colour is far more resistant to stains and marks when compared to the Athens Grey and Sunset White colours of the DJI OM5.

Elite Ergonomics
The DJI Osmo Mobile series has seen ergonomic upgrades with each new iteration, and the DJI OM6 is no different with a slick palm-sized handle that’s easy to hold and operate. The DJI OM6 was designed with comfort in mind, sporting a new anti-slip hand grip that remains comfortable to hold even after long periods of shooting.
New Controls
Status Panel + Side Control Wheel
Users now have more precise control over their videos than ever before. The zoom slider featured on previous DJI OM models has been swapped out for a new Side Control Wheel, allowing users to make precise zoom and focus adjustments as they film. This smooth rotating wheel is easy to use and empowers you to capture dynamic zoom shots and experiment with different depth-of-field effects with focus control.
But that’s not the only new hardware control feature, the DJI Osmo Mobile 6 also features a new Status Panel that displays battery life and sports the built-in M button for convenient mode switching on the fly.
Gesture Control
Want to operate the Osmo Mobile 6 handsfree? You’ve got it with Gesture Control! One of OM6’s coolest features, Gesture Control allows you to set your gimbal down, get in frame and simply wave to snap a pic! Gesture Control is perfect when you're out shooting solo or want to pack a large group into the frame at the same time.
