Before You Start
The first thing to do after unboxing your OM4 SE is to check its battery level by pressing the M Button. If less than 2 indicators lights flash on, charge your OM4 SE with the provided cable before you operate.
Make sure to download the DJI Mimo app to connect your smartphone to the OM4 SE and access all of Mimo’s exclusive features. The DJI Mimo app can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play Store. Alternatively, DJI Mimo can be downloaded here.
Updating Your Osmo Mobile 4 SE
Before using your OM4 SE for the first time, it’s important to ensure that its firmware is up to date. You can do so in a few simple steps.
1. Charge the OM4 SE
Before a firmware update begins, it is necessary for the OM4 SE to have at 30% battery life. If the OM4 SE status indicator has at least one light on, you’re good to go and can turn on the OM4 SE with your smartphone attached.
2. Connect to Mimo
Launch DJI Mimo on your connected smartphone and log in or create a DJI account, making sure that your smartphone has a secure internet connection. Connect your smartphone to the OM4 SE via Bluetooth in the Mimo app.
3. Update Firmware
If a firmware update is required, a prompt will be displayed at the top of your screen. Simply tap and follow the prompts to download and install the latest firmware. The update process typically takes 5-10 minutes.
4. Get Creative
The Mimo app will alert you when your OM4 SE has completed its firmware update. After that, it’s time to get creative and start capturing your world.
