What are the DJI Goggles 2?
First released alongside the DJI Avata in 2022, DJI Goggles 2 are DJI’s flagship FPV goggles headset, designed for maximum comfort and performance. The lightest pair of DJI goggles to date, DJI Goggles 2 feature dual micro-OLED screens that display your drone’s video feed in full HD with minimal latency. This allows you to experience the first-person-view of your drone during flight and intuitively make flight and framing decisions faster than when flying with just a traditional RC.

DJI Goggles Firmware Update: New Compatibility Added
At launch the DJI Goggles 2 were only compatible with one drone: the DJI Avata. However, with the new V01.06.0000 firmware update, DJI have updated and added rich compatibility to the DJI Goggles 2, enabling pilots to pair the headset with Mavic and Mini series drones. (Did somebody say “finally!”??)
The updated drone compatibility includes the fan-favourite DJI Mini 3 Pro and the DJI Mavic 3 series (Mavic 3, Mavic 3 Cine, Mavic 3 Classic, Mavic 3 Pro, Mavic 3 Pro Cine). While these drones may not reach the top speed of a dedicated FPV drone like the DJI Avata, you now get to experience their industry-leading camera quality in first-person-view!
Things to Note
- Flying your Mavic or Mini series drone with the DJI Goggles 2 headset requires the DJI RC Motion 2 controller. At the time of writing, traditional controllers including the DJI RC-N1 and DJI RC cannot be used to pilot your drone with DJI Goggles 2.
- The DJI Fly app has also received an update to coincide with this firmware release. Please make sure to update the Fly app on your connected smartphone in order to receive support for the Mini 3 Pro and Mavic 3 Series.
